New Antenna Meets AIS Requirements
V-Tronix announces AIS-ready antenna
In order to meet the Automatic Identification System (AIS) requirements necessary for many commercial vessels, V-Tronix, part of the Shakespeare Electronic Products Group, have introduced a new antenna. The 396-1-AIS is built specifically for AIS applications and is compatible with equipment from all leading manufacturers.
The V-Tronix 396-1-AIS has a center-fed, 1/2-wave coaxial sleeve, brass and copper element with a specially designed 6MHz bandwith and a maximum input capacity of 100 watts. The 1.2 metre antenna has a mast mounting sleeve and terminates with a SO-239 connector to accommodate various sizes of coaxial cable for longer runs. The antenna boasts heavy-duty construction to withstand the harsh marine environment.
V-Tronix are a world leader in the design and manufacture of antennas for marine applications. Each fibreglass antenna is built with precision because the company understands that a marine radio is only as good as its antenna. The company offers high-quality, reliable products for craft ranging from small bass boats to large commercial vessels.
